Ujra Mosque

Deemed as the most significant pilgrimage site, there is no way for Ujra Mosque to be absent from the best places to visit in Lakshadweep. Based in Kavaratti, the mosque stands out because of its wooden architecture of the pillars and ceilings as well as the majestic structure alongside.Dating back to the 17th century, the prayer hall of the mosque is ground to the grave of Muhammad Sheikh. Located in the South Eastern part of the island, it is not like the usual dome shaped constructions.
