This place is all famous.. Tripadvisor rates it, Lonely Planet rates it. Which is why I went there at the first place. Personally, however, I think the place is overrated. The people take too long to serve food, the food was not freshly prepared and was cold too. It is not worth the money they charge for their food. I would give the place a 2 out of 5.

After travelling a few kilometers we reached the first view point that was Himalaya darshan. A wonderful place with a wonderful view of the Great Himalayas and only a limited number of people which made it more fun. After clicking a few pictures we started our trip again. But these pictures were not enough with all the beauty surrounding us, we again stopped after a kilometer or two for a photo session with the beauty and the beast i.e.; the surrounding valley and Classic 350.
At an elevation of 5500 ft (1635 MT) there stands simply one more excellent spot at a separation of 12 km from Nainital prevalently known as Khurpatal. A hefty portion of them developing by the sheer drop by the street appear to be remaining there by luckiness! On the Bajpur Road - Kaladgungi Road. Khurpatal appears a mystery asylum covered up in the slopes, that is the reason it is as yet resounding with the hints of nature and not the machine age man and his disorderliness. In the event that you adore tranquility, then Khurpatal is the ideal spot for you. A couple of, straightforward and supportive town society are seen occupied with vegetable cultivating. Restoring the spirits, tranquil and greener all the more so after the downpours Khurpatal is a much needed development one can ache for.
High Court of Uttarakhand
The beautiful building with an excellent architectural work was formerly known as the 'Old Secretariat', when Nainital was the summer capital of United Provinces. While we were taking rounds only around it, as we were unable to locate our hotel for our stay and we were searching here and there and then we were stuck at one place. Then finally we got the hotel named ‘Naini Vision’. Our hotel was on the lake side on the hill top. One can spend a good time sitting on the balcony facing the lake. Cluster of clouds are moving around and falling on the lake. After keeping our belongings in the hotel, and having our lunch we planned to move out for local visit. The hotel manager helped us to make the visit comfortably. Then at 1300 hours, we board on a bus for lake tour in Nainital. I was thrilled for getting a window seat along with my parents and then after few minutes journey, we reached in Bhowali which is 10 kilometers from Nainital. At 1400 hours. we reached at Sattal lake; the tour guide gave us 45 minutes to roam and have a view at this place.

An ancient temple is believed to own been in-built the fifteenth century A.D. that was reconstructed in 1883. Within the ancient days of history once Sati, the love of Lord Shiva, unable in contact the insult once her father King Daksha refused to ask Sati and Lord Shiva for a yajna, burnt herself to death. Ruined and grieving, once Lord Shiva was returning to their abode together with her body in His arms, her body elements fell on varied places on earth. The temple of Naina Hindu deity is made on the spot wherever the eyes (naina) of the immortal are assumed to own fallen, and for that incident people around this place named that temple Naina devi temple.
Narains Candle Store
It is a very nice candle shop on the mall road, Nainital. They have a whole range of one of a kind candles available to decorate your homes. The candles start with just Rs 10 and range all the way to Rs 5000 and even more. A word of caution: Be ready to shell out a couple of thousand bucks if you choose to enter the store! The candle designs are really wonderful, you just won't be able to stop yourself from getting some good ones for yourself and gifts for others.
We started our lake tour from the Nainital Lake, which is about 67 ft deep and a preferred place for boating and yachting for all. Since the lake in eye shape, it is named as Naini Lake. True to its popularity the lake is wonderfully stunning. The lake is surrounded by hills, cosy cottages and villas peeping from the plants of the hills and when all these reflect in the lake, it is a sight to behold. We did the boating there that was for a small duration of half an hour. Then we crossed a small lake which is a part of Satal, Garud Tal is unheard of by most of the tourists. It is just few kilometers before Sattal. Though there is no boating facility there, we decided just to take a look at the lake. The lake looks abandoned as there were no one there. Our driver said this lake is considered haunted. However I found it serene and beautiful. Moreover, I sighted a old church across the lake. However we stayed there for 15-20 minutes clicking photos and then left for next destination. Our next destination of Lake Tour was Sattal. Located at a distance of around 23 km, from Nainital, it is personally my favourite lake among all four lakes. Sattal is a group of seven interconnected freshwater lakes grouped close to each other. The names of the seven Lakes of Sattal are Panna Tal, Purna Tal, Sita Tal, Ram Tal, Nal Damyanti Tal, Laxman Tal and Sukha Tal. Personally my favourite lake among all four lakes, it is simply breathtaking. The best part of this lake is that it is amidst the forest and and hills. Wherever you will take your eyes, there is greenery, clouds, hills and most importantly it is extremely peaceful. The peace and serenity of the places just makes it a perfect place to relax. All you can hear is the soft sound of water and chirping of birds. Clear water of lakes surrounded by thick forest and sound of birds is a brilliant experience. We were truly in the lap of nature. It was an amazingly de-stressing and rejuvenating boat ride. Moreover we were able to get a glimpse of some beautiful birds. Kingfisher and Hornbill were two most beautiful birds that we was saw there. These lakes are home to migratory birds. And beside the birds, it is said that it houses an unbelievable 525 species of butterflies and over 11000 species of insects including beetle, bugs and moths and a variety of flora including rare medicinal herbs and shrubs. I left the place with a thought that I will visit the place soon. I will come for a weekend and spend my whole weekend there doing nothing other than clicking photos and watching birds.
