Shanta Durga Temple
Famously knows as the goddess of peace, the divine Shree Shantadurga Devi's temple in Goa is a beautiful example of the temples built during the period of late Shivaji. It has a magnificent Garbhagudi where the deity is placed with a roof of red sloping and the white lamp tower or "Deepastambha"
A rather silent beach, you are just not to swim here as the waters are not clean enough and there are chances of getting affected with skin diseases if you step into the water. There are however a number of good points about this beach. Firstly, the views from here are really nice and you can enjoy boating across the river from here. The sight of dolphins pleases every tourist and the glimpse of the Fort Aguada from here is a plus point too. There are however not many shops or eateries around and it is true that people come here only to enjoy the boat tours.
On our way to the Aguada Fort, we stopped by the Nerul Riverfront, which was a beautiful sight, much different from the beach side vibe. With hundreds of fishermen's boats flanking the river banks, it was a nice experience to stop by there for a while and see their daily lives pass by, and hearing the swishing of the river across the banks.
Sinquerium Dolphin Trips
While we were heading back, just at the beginning of the beach stretch, we found boats and got lucky cause the boatmen had just arrived. We went on a ride along the coast from where we could see the entire stretch of the prison, some massive mansions and dolphins! The Sinquerim boat ride was definitely worth it and it had been 24 hours plus without a wink of sleep so, post breakfast we were all out cold and woke up just in time for lunch. There was a secluded beach right behind our cottage where we spent our last afternoon in Goa lazing in the water.Took us close to midnight and some chasing to finally reach Gokarna where we passed out almost instantly!
