This is an ancient mosque built by Shah Jahan’s wife Fatehpuri Begum. The name of the mosque was after here. it is a red sandstone mosque that stands on a little high platform. It has a colossal dome with two tall minarets. The arches and spacious halls are an example of the beauty of the Mughal architecture of the last phase. This was the place where inter- religion debates used to take place in the past. It is also said that this mosque was a hideout for Mughal armies during wartimes.
