Nature lovers, this one is definitely for you. The Ooty Botanical Gadrens was established in the year of 1847 along the slopes of the famous Doddabetta Peak. These gardens cover almost 22 acres of land and are the work of William Graham McIvor, a famous architectt of that day and age. The garden has around one thousand-plus species of flora that comprises of shrubs, ferns, and bonsai plants. The garden is divided into six areas namely Fountain terrace, nurseries, Conservatory, Italian garden, new garden and the lower garden. The place is green and the atmosphere is truly refreshing. April, May and September are the best months to visit this place.
