Parvati Temple

To the south of the city of Pune is a famous hill known as Paravati. One has to climb a flight of 108 steps to reach the top in order to get an awesome and breathtaking view of the city below. Atop this hill are four temples dedicated to the Gods Ganesha, Shiva, Kartikeya, and Vishnu. The place is also steeped in Maratha history and associated with the Peshwa rule. One can also pay a visit to the Parvati Museum here that is home to some old manuscript replicas and paintings. The pillars and ceiling in the museum today are from the original structure that was the place where Shrimant Nanasaheb Peshwa breathed his last.
