Kankwari Fort

The fort is in the Kankwari District of Rajasthan and is a very famous tourist attraction here. This fort surrounded by greenery and hillocks falls within the buffer zone of the Sariska Wildlife Reserve. This fort is also historically significant since the son of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, Aurangzeb captivated his own brother Dara Shikoh and deported him to Alwar. This was the time the Kankwari Fort was built according to his orders. This is where Dara Shikoh was captivated till his last breathe.
