Sriram Sagar project has accommodation facilities nearby. A tourist department resort is located at Basara where the visitors can spend time and enjoy their vacations. The close proximity of the resort to the dam makes it a good resting place for tourists. Sriram Sagar has become a popular tourist spot due to the sweeping views of Godavari. The wide blue skies touching the crystal-clear waters make up for a beautiful landscape. There is also a well-maintained island near the dam which is an abode to a large variety of migratory birds in all the seasons.
