Thiruvananthapuram Zoo, also known as Trivandrum or TVM Zoo, is located in the capital city of Kerala. It is among the oldest zoos and was opened to public in the year 1857. It is sprawled across an area of 55 acres. Thiruvananthapuram Zoo has the provision for electric cars. There are 82 species of animals in the zoo that include rare and endangered species such as the Indian rhinoceros and Bengal tiger.
