Solani River

The Solani River, a discontinuous stream, was crossed on a radiant curved water passage ornamented with lions and with methodology dikes more than 2 miles in length. Sir Proby Cautley established the University of Roorkee as a preparation ground for channel engineers. This is currently India's celebrated around the world building school, IIT Roorkee, which is arranged at a separation of 3 km from the reservoir conduit. Solani Aqueduct was developed by the British in 1846 and typifies the ideal sample of designing wonder in Uttarakhand. The Old Solani Bridge is manufactured over Old Gang Nahar (old Upper Ganga Canal), no water streams into it now. It is considered as the most striking block stone work structure.
