This is one of the most beautiful beaches of the country and is in the Yarada Village of Andhra Pradesh. The beach is never really crowded mainly beacause it is quite a distance from the nearest city of Vizag. As you drive till the beach you will be able to enjoy the beauty of nature in the form of lush green sights and the beauty of the Bay of Bengal. As you reach the beach you will be welcomed with very clean crystal waters and golden sands. It is not advisable to swim in this area as the sea here is foerce and the slope of the beach is quite steep too. You can instead enjoy a picnic here or simply spend some quiet time and refresh yourself.
Rama Krishna Beach
In short known as the RK Beach of Vizag, this beach is located in the center of the city and is usually very crowded with lots of people ans stalls. A walk along this buzzing beach is always fun and you can also relax here after a busy day of shopping in the malls around this place. There are also a number of good restaurants around.
Sri Kanaka Mahalakshmi Temple
As one of the most distinctive part of Jaipur, Hawa Mahal located amidst the busy streets is something that cannot be missed. The grandeur of the place surely catches the attention of each one passing by. The structure is made from pink sandstone and has a honey-comb like shape that makes it all the more interesting. There are 5 storey in the monument and surely looks extraordinary. The place was built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in the year 1799 to help the ladies watch all the happenings on the streets including the processions that took place from time to time. From the extreme top of the Mahal, you can have a spectacular view of the Jantar Mantar as well as City Palace. For those interested in exhibits, the good news comes in the form of a small museum within the mahal that has great paintings, ceremonial armours as well as rich relics. For the entry, move to the backside of the complex.
The lane beside RK Beach is well maintained and was bursting with activity. Street side cafes, local vendors, creative sculptures, and gardens made this place a perfect place for an evening stroll. I started walking along the shore. After a few minutes of walking, I saw a group of people gathered near a shore, everyone looking down. I was guessing that it must be some sea creature washed ashore. And my guess was correct, it was a giant turtle presumed alive. People tried to put it back into the sea but within a few minutes, it was back to the shore. The sun had already settled down and the high tides were washing up the shore. The beachside local vendors were wrapping up for the day. With each step forward, I was walking away from the crowd. At one moment, I couldn't see anyone around me for a few hundred meters. The moon was bright red and looked perfect in this setting. With this view settled in my eyes and rumbling sound of the sea in my ears, I walked back to my hotel room to rest thinking about the new destination waiting to be explored.
Like someone said, “We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us”. This so very apt for I.T sector's Labors like us to disconnect the world to reconnect to LIFE. A weekend getaway for Hyderabad can be any place near but I personally identify Vizag for my retreat. I might have been to this place many a time before but it keeps surprising me every time. Here is my take on the Port city of Andhra Pradesh .
This highway is a part of the Golden Quadrilateral project and runs along the boundaries of Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. The Northern Terminal is in Mayurbhanj, Odisha and the Southern is in Chennai, Andhra Pradesh. In Andhra Pradesh, it runs through Nellor, kavali, Ongole, Chilakaluripet, Vijayawada, Guntur and Eluru.
The Gangavaram beach is particularly the most iconic beach near Hyderabad because it has attracted quite a few bollywood producers to shoot on its sand. This beach has been maintained properly, and swimming is prohibited in its waters. If you want to enjoy a relaxing day out, then get your picnic blankets and head to this beach on a pleasant day.
Back to Vizag, we have some unfinished business and this being the last day here, we had to rush a lot. There are many things to cover in vizag, be it Marine museum, a lot of temples, more 3 beaches and some excellent view points. First thing would be not to miss the beauty at Par "Beach Road", a ride on this stretch is simply content. Public buses 10K, 900K or 900T from Complex would take you along the whole length. Auto would charge you 30 bucks and that should also be fine.
Bulit by King Sawai Pratap Singh is fine specimen of architectural genious. The Mahel has a wall containing 953 windows or so called "Jharokhas" used by Royal Ladies to see the functions across the streets without being seen from outside. One has to pay 50 bucks to gain an enterance into MahelOne can also get a composite ticket of 300 (advisable) to cover most of the attaraction of Jaipur.By Afternoon we decided that its time to head home after gaining lots of memories and valuable experiences.
