You can follow my blog "Smells like HoboSpirit" for more stories. I’m 22 years old, Irish and love travelling, anywhere and everywhere. I never get lost. I hitchhiked for the first time in the summer of 2013 from Budapest to Ljubljana. I never thought at the time I would discover such an easy and eventful method of free travel. Since then I’ve travelled almost exclusively by thumb extensively in Europe. This blog will help me remember all the lifts and people I meet along the way and also I hope to give something back to the hitchhiking community with it. I plan to soon hit the road in Canada and travel down to Argentina via the thumb. Eventually I will write a book….. eventually.
