Don't tell me how educated you are, tell me how much you've traveled" is one quote that I live by strongly. In the last 6 years that I have travelled to many local destinations, was in Japan for three months, explored the beaches of Phuket on a bike and many more. Here's a small snippet of my life in the last 5-6 years - 2013 - Udaipur, Rajasthan - A quaint little historical town in a state called Rajasthan, spent a nice romantic weekend admiring the lake. 2012 - Kerala - Visit all the famous places in a state and check if off the list, 28 more to go. 2013 - Gujarat. This was my attempt to explore the entire state in a week. 27 more to go. 2014 - Bhutan - This is one of my top contenders, Spent a week in Bhutan however spent a week reaching there and a week coming back. This was a cross country drive spanning across 7 states and covering a little more than 4000 miles. 2012,2013,2014 - Tokyo/Kyoto - The first time I was there was for three months supporting one of our biggest service providers as they were preparing to go live with Zimbra. Outside of work every day I would spend some time exploring nooks and crannies of Tokyo and was able to pull of a brief weekend stint in Kyoto. Nothing is more fun than biking in the streets of Kyoto. 2012 - Bangkok/Phuket - 4 days of pure bliss exploring the beaches of Phuket on a bike. There's so much more to experience in Thailand. 2013 - Pondicherry - This is one place where apparently "time stands still". And as the reputation goes this little french town is perfect for a week for rejuvenation, do absolutely nothing and just "BE". 2010 - SF/LA/Vegas/Grand Canyon - A week in PA visiting our colleagues when in Vmware, and a week exploring Vegas, Hollywood and so on. 2013 - Rann of Kutch - Am one of the few lucky to have had the privilege of driving across the Rann, this is a large wasteland with nothing in site for 100's of kms but dry rough sand. 2009/2010/2012/2013/2014 - Karnataka , another state visited all the famous cities in this state in various small trips. This is the state where I come from, Bangalore is where I am supposed to be from. Did not live there alot though, grew up in Gujarat , got married in Pune and now settled here. Been happily married for 5 years now with a beautiful 9 month old daughter. 2014 - Badami - Hampi , Ancient temple ruins in North Karnataka. 2014 - Pune - Chorla - Goa - Chorla --- Wonder drive across the ranges of Karnataka into GOa and back. 2014 - Pune - Antravedi - Pune -- A cool 2000 km drive across the country. Pune - Solapur - Hyderabad - Vijaywada - Bhimavaram - Pune
