Itinerary

Day 1

On arrival at the recently refurbished modern and state of the art International Airport, you will be blessed to get your first taste of warm Sri Lankan hospitality
Meet our representative and proceed to Sigiriya (approximately 4 hrs journey-150 km from Airport to Sigiriya)
On the way, visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage
Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage set amongst the verdant hills of Kegalle nurses and houses young elephants lost or abandoned by their mothers
Other occupants are elephants displaced from their natural environs by development projects or those found wounded
Visitors could see the baby elephants being fed milk from gigantic feeding bottles or bathed in the river which flows nearby
Later, reach Sigiriya and check-in to the hotel
In the evening, visit Dambulla Cave Temple
It is home to the World’s most acclaimed Cave complex of magnificent Buddha Images and Rock Paintings of vivid colours and shapes
Sinhalese people call it as ' Dambulu Gala' (Dambulla Rock) and the Temple is called as the 'Rangiri Dambulu Viharaya' (Golden Rock Dambulla Temple)

Day 2

Relish breakfast at the hotel
Start the journey to climb the Sigiriya “Lion Rock” Buddhist monastic settlements
Later in the afternoon, proceed to Kandy (approximately 3 hrs journey - 100 km) from Sigirya to Kandy
On the way, visit Spice Gardens at Matale Spice Garden
Proceed to Kandy
Check in to the hotel and relax
In the evening, witness a cultural show dance at Kandy
Overnight stay in Kandy

Day 3

After breakfast, head out for a city tour in Kandy
City tour of Kandy includes a visit to the Temple of the Tooth Relic, Market Square and Upper Lake Drive
Also, visit the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya
Special features are the Orchid House which displays a fine collection of Sri Lankan orchids, the fernery, spice garden, and the trees planted by distinguished visitors to the Island
Later, proceed to Nuwara Eliya (approximately 2 hrs journey-80 km from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya)
On the way, stop at Ramboda and visit Sri Bhaktha Hanuman Temple and Ramboda Falls
The Chinmaya mission of Sri Lanka has built an Anjaneyar temple with Hanuman as the presiding deity
This temple is called Sri Baktha Hanuman temple and the image of Lord Hanuman here is 16 feet tall
The service time at the Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple is between 7:00 am to 12:00 noon and again 3:30 to 6:30 p.m
Visit Ramboda Falls
Proceed to Nuwara Eliya
Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya

Day 4

Post breakfast, head out for a city tour of Nuwara Eliya
In the evening, visit around Gregory Lake
This is the most prominent attraction in Nuwara Eliya and all the visitors come here to spend some time by the lake and relax
Proceed to Bentota (approximately 6 hrs-240 km)
Overnight stay in Bentota

Day 5

Have breakfast at the hotel
Proceed to Galle (approximately 02 hrs journey-80 km)
Enjoy Galle city tour
Visit the Port of Galle close to Hikkaduwa
The majestic Galle Fort bear ample testimony to that fact
The City of Galle is one of the best-preserved colonial-era cities in Southeast Asia and has been declared as a World Heritage City
Galle was a major port in Sri Lanka and still handles shipping and cruising yachts
Optional: The Dutch Museum, Groote Kerk (Great Church) and the National Maritime Museum are some of the famous tourist attractions in Galle
The city is also famous for its delicate handmade lace and ebony carvings
The Galle International Cricket Stadium has also contributed to enhancing the image of the city as a sports destination
Proceed to Bentota again
On the way, proceed to Ambalangoda and visit mask museum
This town boasts of its ancient devil masks and devil dancers
The town has a plethora of antique shops for unique and fancy jewellery items at unmatchable prices
Relax in the evening

Day 6

Relish breakfast at the hotel
Optional: Watersports
Visit Kosgoda Turtle Hatcher -the turtle care centre at Kosgoda beach
It is also very popular as all five species of turtles that visit Sri Lanka nest in Kosgoda
Leave for Balapitiya and proceed by boats on the Madu-Ganga river
Here you could see the villagers taking part in their day to day activities, the river and its islands
During this beautiful trip, you will be able to see riverside, tropical birds, crocodiles, black monkeys, Cormorants, Pelicans, Large Iguanas and Water Monitors, the fisherman, the peculiar boats and net fishing of jumbo prawns

Overnight stay in Bentota

Day 7

Have breakfast at the hotel
After that, proceed to Colombo (approximately 2 hrs journey-85 km) from Bentota
En route, enjoy Colombo city tour
Visit Fort, Sea Street, the Bazaar area where there is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings, the Kaymans Gate with the Belfry
Explore the Dutch Church of Wolfendhaal, Kelaniya Buddhist Temple and Davatagaha Mosque
Also, visit the BMICH (Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall)
In the evening, head out for a shopping tour
Overnight stay in Colombo

Day 8

This is the last day of your Colombo trip
Proceed to the Colombo International Airport from where you can board the flight for your onward destination

Cancellation Policy

If the package is cancelled 20 days before the tour date, no cancellation charges will apply.

If the cancellation is done 14 days before the tour date, 70% of the tour cost will be applicable as the cancellation charges.

If the cancellation is done 07 days before the tour date, 100% of the tour cost will be applicable as the cancellation charges.
