In Bali, I spent most of my time in Kuta/Ubud. My final agenda on one of my most unplanned trips (the irony I know!) was a road trip through the Indonesian hot-spot of Bali. With a sumptuous breakfast, I headed for the road with my Balinese host. With gas stations few and far between, we had to buy gasoline in glass bottles! We stopped for lunch at Ngiring Ngewedang, and also had some of their famous local coffee.
Kuta (beach) is Bali’s most touristy beach because it offers the best surfing site in the island. Expect to have lots of people, hotels, restaurants, bars and anything very touristy to extremely touristy in Kuta.
1) Go Kuta- If you are a Party Animal you really really need to go to Kuta, Every single pub is an open invitation for you to hang out with the crazy night lifers , karaoke , booze , and almost everything. Beware of the Marijuana sellers in this area) :/
There various districts in Bali such as Badung, Denpasar, Karangasem and Tabanan etc. all famous for great beaches and luxurious resorts. A favourite choice to stay is on the Kuta Beach in Badung, this is the center of entertainment with numerous restaurants, bars and discotheques.
The range of tourist activities in Bali is enormous. With the exception of Disney Worlds, ferris wheels, and casinos there is nothing you cannot find in Bali. The obvious, in the Kuta area, all the water sports you can think of: boat rides, surfing, diving, skiing, are all there, and cheap (by Australian standards).
After just a night in Kuta, I can definitely say that Balinese know how to party! Mouths overflowing with alcohol and hips swaying more furiously than Shakira’s – and that’s just the start of a party in Kuta. Party all night if you can, and enjoy a late breakfast at one of the very contemporary hotels dotting the street.
