People of most nationalities can travel to Thailand visa free. Thailand offers visa on arrival (15 days) to 19 countries, including India.
Passport holders from G7 countries (Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States) may enter by land or air for 30 days, visa-free. The countries and territories that don’t require a visa for up to 30 days (30 days when travelling by air; 2 weeks when entering by road ) are Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bahrain, Brunei, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Kuwait, Laos, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macau, Malaysia, Monaco, Mongolia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru and South Korea, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam. The countries and territories that don’t require a visa for up to 14 days are Cambodia and Ukraine. For visa extension, tourists can apply to the immigration office for a usual fee of 1900B. If you overstay your visa, the usual penalty is a fine of 500B per day, with a 20,000B limit.
