Day 1

Lord of the rings? No. Photoshop? No.

Aharbal, also known as Niagara falls of Kashmir lies in the south Western part of Kashmir valley. It is located on the veshu river, a tributary of the Jhelum river, in an Alpine valley covered in pine and fir trees within the pit panjal mountains. It lies at an altitude of 2266 metres above sea level.

It is one of the most peaceful places in Kashmir. It is completely safe for tourists and travelers. You can try fishing here as well and may catch a trout or two.

A one day trip to Aharbal, a friend of me and I, drove to this place and were mesmerized by it's beauty.

It has different shades in all the seasons. Each season of this valley in unique in it's own way.

The best part is that it isn't crowded like Uttrakhand or Himachal, you can peacefully enjoy it's scenic views. The sound made by the falling water is music to the ears.

The Mughal road too falls on the same route, you can visit that too. Peer ki gali is beautiful.

It is completely safe to visit, you must plan your trip.

The valley has been suffering alot. The main source of their income is the tourism and you've no idea about how badly the tourism went down in the past few months due to the political issues.

Well, it's completely safe to visit Kashmir, tourists are welcomed here with love. The restaurants, hotels, houseboats, chai walas, taxi walas etc everybody suffered a huge loss but they still welcome each one of us with warmth and love. That's Kashmiriyat, the reason I fell for this place.

Imagine yourself without internet for 6 months, a complete lock down. They haven't had any access to Internet, social networking etc. I've been there and lived without internet for 2 months, did my semester during that duration, my studies and college suffered a lot. I really don't want to talk about the government but I wish to do something for Kashmir and I need your help. They have struggled a lot, so let's to help them by trying a bit. If you or anybody you know is planning a trip to any xyz place, need a vacation, please ask them to visit Kashmir. It will surely help somebody out there. I'll be your guide, just come.

I really wish that normalcy prevails in the valley, everybody lives a happy life. Please do the least you could do.

After all, I've grown up here. 🥀
