Took a direct flight to Trivandrum from hyd. From airport its around 40 kms, cab would be best option to reach varkala to save time.
Best place to try solo, hotel stays are available, I prebooked the lost hostels which I would definitely recommend.
Coming to the place, it is the only place or one of the very few places which has a cliff to view the beach.
They are numerous beach shacks, cafes, massage centers and goes on...view of beach from cliff is outstanding. hopping in one of the cafes with sea food and beer is the best thing to do here....!!!
Early morning sunrise view from cliff is amazing, hired a two wheeler to roam around varkala city, visited 2 beaches one of the beach there is a parallel road in between back water and beach....driving through was thrilling...
To me pick of the trip was lite house view its spectacular, 360° view. 180 degree beach and another 180 degree is covered with coconut trees, back water. One should not miss the light house visit it's a must visit place!!!
Returned to trivandrum, visited Anantha padmanabha swamy temple. Had blissfull darshan took return flight to Hyderabad trip ended!!!
