DAY 4 : -I didn't have much plans for the day and we both hence came to know each other more on the lunch. Post lunch we went to Abu Dhabi to buy a cartoon of whiskey as Dubai served expensive. Late evening we went for a cruise cuisine and arrived at around 11 PM at night. It was out of my knowledge and sight that our hotel has 3 in-house dance clubs. He later mentioned to me and after having a couple of drinks at hotel room we left for the club to party.I have never experienced such thing and hopefully won't experience it again ahead in my life. I was in a Hollywood movie, the perception that place gave me was undeniable and we had alot fun that night at the club.It was all of sudden that I started enjoying alot which I was missing before when we wasn't there with me to roam around.
10. 1-day Abu Dhabi city tourThe tranquil neighbour of Dubai is teeming with beautiful coastline and sprawling lush green gardens despite being in the desert peninsula. Not many people realise but the trip to United Arab Emirates is incomplete without being to Abu Dhabi. How to reach Abu Dhabi from Dubai?Things to do in Abu Dhabi in a day
We had to get ready by 9 in morning. After a hot water bath, I was all set for the breakfast till 8:30 a.m. The sun strokes were high as usual. The buffet had its cuisine ready for the morning breakfast. Our cab arrived by 9 and we were all set to leave. We had a city tour to Abu Dhabi. The view of the buildings standing tall, blocked the sun rays to fall on roads. United Arab Emirates (UAE) has 7 states. An amazing thing about travelling through all 7 states is that you get to discover difference in the color of roads in all 7 states. When we reached Abu Dhabi, the color of the road was slightly green. We saw all the palaces where the prince of the UAE and his wives resided, famous hotels, dockyards and harbors. The import/export plays a very important role in a deserted place. We also saw the World Trade Center (where the Fast and Furious series was shot).
Abu Dhabi, the capital of United Arab Emirates, is the one city where there is endless desert on one side and vast ocean on the other. This is where you can indulge in some thrilling sand dune bashing, as well as go swimming in the wide seas. It has everything from UNESCO World Heritage sites that reflect the deep-rooted past to amusement parks that rival any in the world. Abu Dhabi is your one stop destination for history, culture, religion, shopping and adventure.
Dubai to Abu Dhabi is a 90min ride and there are buses and shared taxis available from couple of locations or you can take one of the Day Tours arranged by travel agents. We left early morning and after check-in went to the Emirates Palace hotel. The entry is free, but nothing much to do except taking a few photos. In case you are a fan of roller coaster rides then Ferrari World is the place to hit with world’s fastest rides. You can then spend time on the F1 circuit and try driving an Aston Martin lap.In the evening visit the Sheik Zayed mosque which one the most beautiful, holy and grand places that you would see. The place comes to life in the evening under the lights. Spend your evening at the Corniche to breathe in and look back at the Arabian tour before heading back home!
Where: United Arab EmiratesWhat to do: The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is one of those few places that is worth every bit of hype. This world's most expensive mosque should top your list of things to do in Abu Dhabi, as its grandeur will trump everything else. Head to Al Bateen Shipyar, the restored dock, which is one of the oldest inhabited parts of the modern city and gives an insight into the history of the emirate. Abu Dhabi boasts of quite a few art galleries, such as the Gallery One in the Emirates Palace and the Ghaf Art Gallery. If you want to head out of the city, then go dune bashing at the Rub' al Khali.
Our Top experiences in Abu Dabhi1. Sheikh Zayed mosqueJust Wow effect!! Monument is simply stunning, incredible piece of architecture. Ladies will have to borrow traditional black dress available at the mosque and have to deposit one national ID card to get this dress i.e driving license (passports are not accepted), Men are also required to wear respectful clothing shorts, vests etc are not allowed. A must visit place while travel to Abu Dabhi.
We reached Abu Dhabi Airport at 8am (India Time). I had read about Abu Dhabi Airport being one among the most beautiful and grand airport among the top rated ones. The time difference is one and half an hour between Dubai and India. Ideally our watch had to be set once we had landed. But we completely forgot! We collected our baggage and decided to freshen up for a day long sightseeing. We kept an eye on our watch (that showed India time and we have completely forgot about it). Our pick up was scheduled at 9 am from Abu Dhabi Airport so we had to hurry. It was 8:55 am when we were ready and waiting for the pickup in the inside of the main entry area of the airport. Something clicked and I hurried to check my watch timing. I found the airport clock.....It was just 8am! We laughed on our absent mindedness. We now had to wait for an extra hour not being able to enter the airport main area but just while our time at the entrance. Finally, at 9am, our driver had come to receive us. We then started off with the sightseeing in Abu Dhabi. I missed the chance to see the airport but every next time I travelled I made sure I get the clock ticking at the correct time........Our below places of interest in series:View of the Emirates Palace and the two famous towers debuted in famous movie series of Fast and Furious.
