Day 6:A long 8 hours journey awaited us today from Dwarka to Ahmedabad. We left at 9:30 AM and reached our hotel House of MG by 5:30 PM.House of MG is an excellent property and one of the best heritage hotel I have ever stayed in. The hotel is situated in the old part of the city and really provides an old-world charm. They have merged heritage with luxury to give a unique experience. It has 2 properties: Mangaldas ni haveli 1 and 2. We stayed in 1 where there much hyped Agashiye restaurant is present. The havelis have been beautifully restored. Though we had an idea that we chose the best property in Ahmedabad but once we reached here we were completely spellbound with its grandeur & awestruck interiors.They conduct short tours of 2 hours daily to nearby old city, jain temples, markets, havelis both at night and during the day. Ticket is Rs. 250. I really wanted to go for night tour but so couldn’t go for it since I was dead tired. They have a museum showcasing different fabrics, embroideries, handlooms and other textiles available across Gujarat and India. Hotel guests have free access to this museum. Then, there is a small shop inside the hotel premises called “Local Artisans” selling Gujarati traditional handicrafts, home décor things, clothes, souvenirs at over the top prices!
Day 1Our flight was at 2:30 PM. On reaching Ahmedabad we called our driver whose details had already been shared with us by Safari.com. We reached Hotel Nami Residency by 5 PM. A descent budget hotel with average rooms, service and food.We left for Law Garden weekend evening market in evening. It is a flea market which is famous for Gujarati traditional (predominantly Kutch) dresses, accessories, home décor and footwear. Small stalls with colorful display of clothes like Lehenga-choli, dupattas, stoles, etc. are lined along the road and are thronged by tourists and locals alike. Bargaining is at its peak here! Our driver specifically mentioned to shop for these traditional Kutch clothes at Bhuj or Runn of Kutch incase going there since it will be cheaper, more authentic offering more variety.Law market is also famous for its street food stalls. Lot of dhabas with all kind of cuisines operate in full swing as the sun sets. We had Kathiawadi Thali at one such dhaba and it was mouthwatering especially the tomato sev sabji and bajre ka rotla!

If I mention beautiful Dargahs, quaint mosques, museums, lovely havelis and a market serving mouthwatering nihari, kulcha and tandoori chicken, you’ll think that I am talking about Delhi. But no, this is not the Capital of India but the capital of Gujarat, Ahmedabad. Recently declared the first Indian World Heritage City by UNESCO, Ahmedabad holds everything that hides in Delhi along with bustling night markets, culinary culture and scattered monuments in every corner of the city Ahmedabad has something that Delhi lacks and it is the safety that makes traveling here an extraordinary affair.
The nearest metro city is Ahmedabad, 90 km and about 2 ½ hours’ drive. The airport at Ahmedabad has domestic and international flights. Ahmedabad is also a convenient railway junction, connected across India. The nearest railhead 30 km away is Viramgam, is connected to Mumbai.
I started my trip from Ahmedabad, took a flight to Delhi. The adventure started from Ahmedabad itself as our flight got cancelled luckily we were able to book other flight on the same day thanks to GoAir. I with my friend reached New Delhi around 12 noon. Our bus to Manali from Delhi was at 22:30. We managed to book a hotel near airport where we passed our half day.The ISBT bus stop from airport is around 25kms, we took airport metro from Delhi Airport to reach ISBTReaching ISBT bus stop : For catching metro from airport one has to reach aerocity metro station which can be easily reached by shuttles operating at airport. Catch metro from Aerocity to New Delhi and change from New Delhi to ISBT. The bus stop is just outside the metro staion,you can reach easily as it is mentioned every where. We reached ISBT bus stop at around 21:00 hrs. where we met our second friend. We had our meal in McD and boarded our bus at 22:30 hrs. The bus was Tata Himgaurav HRTC which was not good as Volvo.

The blue city, welcomed us with some delicious “Dal Bhati”, it just added to the Rajasthani feels, blue Jodhpur was blending with sky, when you see it from 150ft high zip line, like a king from the Mehrangarh fort. The fact that the city is blessed with some good food is so true; the food was amazing, so if in Jodhpur, no worries about food.

As soon as I reached I rushed to cover the 3 major places on my list - Mehrangarh Fort, Umaid Bhawan Palace, and Jaswant Thada. I covered everything in a rush before hitting the train for Jaisalmer.
Don’t forget to try Kachoris and Mirchi Vada in Jodhpur. You can get street food anywhere in the city especially outside the fort.
Things You can do on a Day Trip to Jodhpur
Day 7 - Jodhpur - the Blue CityAlthough a city, Jodhpur still breathes the royalty that once existed. Right from the grand Mehrangarh fort to Umaid Bhavan, this city has contained its culture and tradition. Visit one of the roof top restaurants surrounding the fort for a spectacular night view of the fort on one side and the iconic Clock Tower on the other. Go zip lining from the fort which takes an hour, have delightful pani puris and go street shopping. The blue houses are extremely difficult to find, start walking the lanes around the fort and if you are in luck, you might find one.Jaswant Thada, Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park, Pukhraj Durry Udhyog and Mandore Gardens are some places to visit. Circling back to the start, I headed to Udaipur in an overnight bus.
DAY 4 - JODHPUR - THE BLUE CITY
A royal start to your married life
A sea of blue rooftops, Jodhpur is magnificent. The second largest city in Rajasthan, the blue city takes your breath away with every corner. The domineering Mehrangarh Fort sits atop the city and frames the city skyline with pride. At the base of the fort lie blue houses in all shapes and sizes in a tangle of winding, glittering, medieval streets. Jodhpur is endearing and intimidating at the same time and no trip to Rajasthan is complete without visiting this rare gem!What to see1. Start with a visit to Jodhpur's robust Mehrangarh Fort. A magnificent spectacle and an architectural masterpiece, the fort gives you a glimpse into the luxe lifestyle of the kings and queens of bygone eras. The timings to visit the fort are between 9am to 5pm. The entrance fees is ₹100. Still camera fees is also ₹100 while video camera fees is ₹200.2. Visit five uniquely different areas of the fort, Moti Mahal (pearl-coloured), Sheesh Mahal (hall of mirrors), Phool Mahal (hall of flowers), Zenana Deodi (the queen's chambers) and Chamunda Mataji Temple (the temple of the queen's favourite goddess).3. Next morning I left for Jodhpur around 270kms from Udaipur . Reached jodhpur around 3pm I checked in to Patwa Haveli near sarafa Bazar which was quite close to other tourist spots .That day I visited the Kaylana lake , an artificial lake built by Maharana Pratap Singh in 1872 . I sat there with silence when the sun was about to set , the bird were sleeping , the wind was still and it looked like I was floating on glass and I was the one with nature flowing in its sedateness . Quite tired with day long labour , I preferred loitering around the bazaar , interactng with the locals and ending my day with a delicious Butter Chicken and Lachcha Parathe and a peaceful slumber .

Day 13: September 29, 2015:I started late at baroda and decided to enter karnataka by evening. The journey was going to be long. I left at 830 AM after breakfast and hit the highway.It took about 7 hours to reach the outskirts of Mumbai. I lost my way on the outskirts and began asking for directions. Finally, when i touched the road towards Panvel, it was about 5PM. I accidentally got onto the Express-Way and a cop was waiting to "mug" me off some money in the name of bribe.After an hours ordeal with the cop and having lost money, I found the road towards Pune and continued my journey.Almost 7 PM when I arrived on the outskirts of Pune. Time to check into a hotel.
We had a plan to halt again at Ahmedabad, but "We the Riders" aren't only riders, we are "Super Riders". We had started from Bhuj at 8 am. Our breaks were scheduled after every 100 kms, But the exciting part was that we were very close to Ahmedabad in the afternoon itself, we had covered almost 75% of the target destination....."Hmm that's exciting, we can cover 100 kms more, so that we would be close to Mumbai and the next day ride wouldn't be hectic"...Chalo let's cover 100kms more and halt at Vadodara, we decided while resting under a tree. In the evening, we had reached Vadodara to find there was heavy traffic in the city, we were dying to get a hotel. Finally we got one at the Airport....the name itself was Hotel Airport. The stay was luxurious and the comforts were much needed after this long ride. We had stayed there for a night.Day 7 - Vadodara to Mumbai

Now it was time for us to head back to Mumbai. We started riding back and at Bhuj we got our bike serviced and by night we could reach Vadodara.Next day we again started early with a motive to reach Mumbai by night. We could reach Daman by evening and again it being a union territory we had some good beers to charge ourselves for the one final time for the trip.
Early morning, the next day we were headed back to Mumbai which is nearly 800 Kms away. We did a stop-over at Vadodara, for the night, where we enjoyed the street food, before proceeding to Mumbai. Having visited both the Legends, at Dandi, and the Lions, at Gir, we brought our road trip through Saurashtra to a successful end.
It took us a lifetime to plan, cancel, re-plan and then reschedule the most cliched yet epic journey to the mountains of the Ladakh range.12 long days of mesmerizing ever changing landscapes . Mountains left us awestruck. Enormous rivers followed us everywhere.It is one of those amazingly beautiful places I believe where even the simplest of the camera can give you a pro-level splendid nature photo.Sit back , relax and enjoy Ladakh through my lens.
On day 9 morning made visit to City Palace and Monsoon Palace and then started my return journey to Pune through Vadodara. Reached Vadodara by 09:30 PM and settled in a hotel near the city. On day 10 started my ride towards Pune from Vadodara and reached Pune at 09:30 PM.

Mount Abu, the 1st destination of the journey, at the lake, it was cold and beautiful. Dogs, streetlights, benches, water and stars. The lake is lifeline of the city, for stoners, loners, families, and ice cream parties, full with people, bubbles flowing around and the market filled with fancy Rajasthani art and crafts.
I started off from Nagpur in train to Ahmedabad, then onto Abu road. From Abu road, I took a shared taxi directly to Mount Abu. On reaching, I enquired about the rates to cover the places and was delighted to know of a package, which covered 8 major points before dropping back at Nakki lake. I covered Dilwara temple, Guru Shikhar, Achalgarh village, Toad rock, Arbuda Devi, Somnath temple, Shooting point, Honeymoon point, Om Shanti Bhawan/ Pandav Bhawan, before being dropped off at Nakki Lake to enjoy the fireworks [I had been on Diwali]. I missed out on Trevors Tank in Abu.
MOUNT ABU WINTER FESTIVALMoving a bit earlier won’t cost you much. Let’s start with the end of December celebrating the grand New Year at the small hill station of Rajasthan, Mount Abu. The winter fest is a tribute to the rich culture and tradition of Rajasthan. The two to three days event in Mount Abu invites the folk performers and other artists from every part of India.The vibrancy of culture, aromatic taste of food and the folk art lures the heart of every passerby, creating magic in the scenic ambiance. Not only the cultural events, but many sports event such as cricket matches, kite flying and rowing competitions are also organized during the festival.
Mt.Abu decides to show us some Rain and Cold in the morning, we start early, back to Ahmedabad where we are supposed to meet up Shreejith. It’s a 250+ km drive back to Ahmedabad, Mt.Abu brings in a lot of crowd across the state border for obvious reasons, since Gujarat is a dry State. All along the trip, the NHAI and the required authorities deserve a clap, since the Tarmac is really commendable and we are rethinking and missing our Motorcycles which are resting back at home.
Again, the photo-frenzy begins, with wide-angles, macro, PhotoSpheres, mono, panoramas not to belittle the unprecedented DPs !! While the hunger hit us as we had missed our breakfast( lets not count the 400gms worth Paapdi which was had at a road-side dhaba at 5am) we were driving towards Mt.Abu our destination for the day. The Aravalli’s had arrived, the flat landscape of Gujrat gave way to the Northward and the Oldest Mountain Ranges (of India )standing tall boasting its Basaltic ( subject to correction ) surfaces and ginormous rocks. A small glitch as Kantibhai had some trouble entering the Rajasthan Border due to some paperwork for the vehicle getting misplaced. A few phone calls, A fine and we were through. Next stop was for some internal cooling for both the men (Shikanzi water) and the machine before the 30 odd km upwards ghat drive to Mt. Abu. A mad number of motorcycle devotees descending the ghats, with their flashy flags, chanting, not-following a number of rules of the road and with minimal road sense crossed us while we ascended ever-watchful of the recent landslides due to rains which had drained some dangerous sections of asphalt. Mt.Abu welcomes us with a nice greys, some much awaited cloud cover after a Sunny Gujarat. The temperature was pleasant, the entry to the hill station easy, considering this is the highest in the Aravallis ( Guru Shikhar being the tallest peak, approx. 1722 m. above MSL). With the N-number of devices on-charge back in our hotel room, we hog at Jodhpur Bhojanalay, a local joint, which was recommended to us by one of our contacts in Mt. Abu who also got us a good deal for our accommodation at Hotel Aravalli. The food some of us enjoyed, the DaalBati, a local delicacy, is a personal choice, some of us did not enjoy it including me. Raw Balls of Wheat!! We decide to give Kantibhai a break and leave for a short tour of Mt.Abu to check out the Dilwara Temples, but the site is a typical Tourist/Devotees mad house with a trust (with our experience of such trusts only ruining the character of these places with a host of shops, a lot of worthless memorabilia that gets the locals some chance to make quick bucks, which can be invested in producing unique goods, which may not necessarily be useful to the tourists, anyway that’s a totally different topic). So we decided not to visit the temple premise, and head back via Nakki Lake and other local hotspots back to our hotel for a quick powernap. The powernap ends up in a set of long discussions while few of us are lost in slumber, some food, some music and off to sleep for a long day ahead. We sleep early and we plan to start early.
Talking about the boarding cost, it is a little dearer as compared to the places of Himachal or call it just the long weekend be the reason for the tariffs soaring up. Also, this is the only hill station nearing the cities of Rajasthan and Gujarat which might be keeping the cost escalated. Leave the cost aside, we had real tough time nestling at the place as there were very few rooms at Abu due to sudden rush of long weekend. After relentless hunting for 1 hours in two groups we finally managed to get a decent accommodation. Talking about the amenities of the property, our hotel had a balcony, a beautiful lawn area and a lovely pet- Stella! We got ready in no time and had the mouth watering Shev bhaji, what’s kind of a synonym of food in Rajasthan for me. We have only this day for visiting places and had only half of it left after lunch. We hurried to the top most peak of the place, which they call Guru shikhar and spent some half an hour there by clicking amazing photographs.
After this we went to Mount Abu. It’s around 3 hour ride from Udaipur. We had hired a cab online for the entire mount Abu Trip at 4000 bucks and we were very fortunate to have got a really nice and chill driver who even gave us his car to drive. We left from Udaipur at 2 in the noon and reached Mount Abu at around 5.
On the first day we explored the local markets and checked out some jewelry shops that were actually cool, please do bargain as the locals here are always ready to rip you off. In the evening you can visit the famous Nakki Lake, and while you are there please do try out the soft serve ice cream cone shops that you can find almost everywhere in the market area. It is a heaven for ice-cream fanatics like myself, you can find a variety of flavours and even larger variety of toppings there.
Day 1 Mount AbuMount Abu is the only hill station in Rajasthan situated at an average height of 1,219 mtr's above sea level is the oasis in the deserted land of Rajasthan The famous tourist destination is known for its Delwara Jain temples and natural beauty world over, situated amidst lush green forested hills on the highest peak in the Aravali range is also the summer capital for the Indian state of Rajasthan The nearest railhead is Abu Road, about 25 kms away, in the lowlands. Abu Road is on the railway line from Ahmedabad to Marwar Junction. 9am we reached to mount abu it was very difficult to drive in the city because of too much fog we can’t see anything but keep moving slowly and reached to hotel dumped the bags and rushed to get fresh there is lots of budget hotels and guest house is available in mount abu. Mount abu is not much developed as compare to mahableswar and Panchgani. After getting fresh we headed to Guru Shikar. Guru Shikhar, a peak in the Arbuda Mountains of Rajasthan, is the highest point of the Aravalli Range Located at a height of 1,722 metres, it has some 300-400 steps, to the top, which is a bit tough, but the views from the top are just awesome. The views makes it worth climbing those steps. There’s also a Dattatreya temple at the top from the top you can see the whole Abu Road you can click the picture there is also shop and tea stalls easily u can get the water, juice and snacks. You can reach Guru Shikhar by bike or Car (Note: please be careful while riding on this road its narrow and zigzag road rainy season it’s became worst) after Guru shikar we headed to Dilwara temple.
The only hill station in Rajasthan, Mount Abu is one of the ideal places to visit in India in May. Mount Abu is perched atop a peak made of granite and is wrapped around a lush green forests of the Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary, with a rich reserve of exotic flora and fauna. The hill town is a refreshing rescue from the scorching summer sun of the dry north-west India and also is quite popular with foreign travelers. Harboring over 80 intricately carved ancient temples, along with the admirable Jain temples of Delwara, Mount Abu is a holy place for the Jains as well as the Hindus. The Nakki Lake adds an aesthetic charm to the place.How to get there: Abu Road is the nearest railway station. It is well-connected by roads with state transport buses at regular intervals.

On reaching Pushkar Bus stand, I started off walking to the World’s Only temple of Lord Brahma. In between, I covered many temples of Old Rangji Temple, Apteshwar Temple, Paap Mochini Temple, Raghunath Temple, Atmeshwar Temple, Mahadeva Temple, Mai Gou Ghat, Siddhi Vinayak temple, Vishnu Temple, and Anasagar lake. I covered Pushkar Mela area, Pushkar Lake, Brahma Temple, Savitri Mandir by going in a ropeway to get a glimpse of the desert from above. I enjoyed the famous Malpua of Pushkar and made that my lunch. I finished Pushkar by afternoon and went off to Jodhpur.
Next day we left for Pushkar, a hidden city with an easy going vibe where traditional meets hippies in the dessert state. Pushkar is one of India's holiest and oldest cities with the only temple dedicated to Lord Brahma in the country, from among a handful in the world. Best time to visit Pushkar is during the camel festival. Unfortunately we missed it by a week's time. Nevertheless, visiting Pushkar lake, Pushkar Market, Camel Safari, Sand dunes and blissful evening in the village was definitely highlight of this trip.
• Pushkar for Camel Fair
Pushkar -The blue lotus flower - At noon take a local bus to Pushkar for 16 INR (12 INR for women). The drive takes you across the mountains on rocky, dry and dusty roads. In an hour you will reach Pushkar. It is one of the oldest towns in India and the only place which has a temple dedicated to lord Brahma. With a very low population, Pushkar is absolutely stunning and off beat. There are many roof top cafes, where you can relax and spend the day with good Israeli food. The sunset view from Pushkar ghat is quite known among tourists. You will also find a couple of cafes here serving delicious snacks and beverages.The distance between Pushkar and Jaipur can be covered in 2 and half hours on a local bus. Once the sun set, I boarded the bus at 7.00 pm and reached Jaipur by 10.30 pm.
Last day was all for Pushkar with different colours. The city is so cultural and alluring to make you feel blessed. I had the best experience discovering the lifestyle of Pushkar during my journey.
Second day was all to observe the locals. People of Pushkar are so in touch with their culture and traditions that they makes the city pure and vibrant enough to explore.
Don’t know why I added this day to the tour. The Pushkar camel care can be easily explored within the maximum of two to three days. I had nothing to do. So I wasted my morning and afternoon, and in the evening I head out to the fairground with my new DSLR. The day was over and over crowded. I could hardly move a bit. After a long struggle, I reached my destination, the Pushkar camel ground.
All ready to leave Pushkar, I again started the bus journey to Pushkar. The bus fares are ordinary; government buses charge 13-15 whereas the private buses charge 20 INR.I reached Pushkar around 1 pm that was not the good time to roam. The daytime is all lazy, you can hardly spot anyone out. This was the festive season so few foreigners were there, shopping and eating. Even I went out to shop and eat in the afternoon. The vibrant marketplace, the home decor accessories, handicrafts, outfits, the traditional jewelry and attires, no one can stop themselves from having a look at them. And being a shopping addict I couldn’t stop myself from buying few. The wall hangings, traditionally styled home decors were stealing the glance of every passerby.

That night I boarded a late train to kill the need to book a room and have early morning prayer at Dargah. On reaching Ajmer, I immediately took a bath in the Railway station and went to Dargah Sharif to offer prayers. After touching Allah, I went to Ana Sagar Lake. I decided to skip any other places and went to pay homage at Pushkar to the creator.
After memorable time in Udaipur, we headed to Ajmer. I always wanted to visit Ajmer Sharif Dargah and It was in my long pending wish list but was never fortunate enough to go here despite my couple of visits to Rajasthan. As old saying says, "You cannot plan a visit to a holy place, you need to be called" and finally I was summoned this year. Irrespective of what religion you belong to, you must visit this place at least once in your lifetime and seek blessings.
DAY 3 - Ajmer amidst Aravalli MountainsOvernight bus to Ajmer takes 5 hours to cover 270 kms. Since I reached at 4.00 am, I rented a room, slept for a couple of hours and headed out to explore the city. The cheapest way to commute within the city is to hire a rickshaw for half a day, which will cost you ~500 INR. Day-2 Godhra- Ajmer: Early Morning escape through the city kept us away from the public's attention heading towards our next destination Ajmer specially known for Darga Sharif. Refueling our machines at first petrol pump in Rajastan,we continued, the roads were pit hole free but full of cattle's which made the day a bit hectic. Evening we visited "Darga Sharif", & the day ended with Dinner with Rajastani touch.
Pushkar to Ajmer and DelhiMy Pushkar tour came to an end all with beautiful memories to take back. Pushkar is so beautiful and peaceful to visit once in the lifetime. Ok, some may find it a bit tedious during the tour, but the calmness of the place has a magic that will keep triggering you after your visit. So colorful, so religious and so close to the tradition, Pushkar is the best offbeat destination of Rajasthan to find the new way of exploring.What not to miss in PushkarThis was my first trip, so I missed out a lot of things.• The morning Ghat arti with the sunset view can make your day. I couldn’t experience, but what as per the experience of my co-travelers and tour compions, I got to know what I missed.• Get up early and run to see the hot air balloon flight. You can even have balloon ride. The big colourful hot air balloons are best to observe the entire Pushkar. That must be beautiful and I regretted it later because the tiring day couldn’t let me wake up early.• Cultural shows are the lifeline and luckily I attended one. The gracious Kalbelia dance, folk music, camel art, everything makes the Pushkar fair more amazing.• Be prepared to enjoy every ride, from camel to the Giant wheel. Adding fun and thrill is really important.Key points for a happy tour• • Don’t expect any nonvegetarian food or alcohol for the entire Pushkar tour. Being a holy place it’s better to be away from these eatables and drinks.• • You will be on target for all the children, beggars and pandits. They will ask you for money but better to avoid them.• • Bargain if you have a plan to shop. The prices will be high and your bargaining skills will help you a lot.• • Be polite, happy and yes friendly with the local people. People of Pushkar are lovable and exchanging few words with them will make you feel more comfortable and easy.• • Special attention to your attire. Be in loose comfortable and yes full clothes. If not because of the public, then for yourself. The sand, sun, and dust may leave you all tanned and mess up by the trip ends. So better be in cool loose fitted clothes with sneakers.• • For a good budget trip, get your hotels book in advance. Try dwelling at Pushkar to enjoy every program. Residing at a distant place, you have to leave early for safety issues.• • Be ready to click every moment as you never know what interesting you find at this Pushkar Camel Fair.
Next Morning , I check out from the hotel ,and headed towards Ajmer Sharif Dargah . The biggest mistake I did was to take my scooty there . I was caught in the crowd which was far more dense than a Mumbai local train . Somehow I navigated through the crowd and parked my scooty there . Unfortunately I could not take any pictures . It was hell of a crowd & there was not even a place to stand there . So if you go there , brace yourself and good luck !!Beside Ajmer Sharif Dargah , there is Adhai Din ka Jhopra built by Qutubbudin Aibek .
Visiting holy towns Ajmer & Pushkar was part of my Rajasthan trip. After spending two days in Jaipur with colors and culture it was time to be part of chaos, camels and two most sacred holy places for Hindu and Muslim religion. Ajmer is 150 km from Jaipur. My plan earlier was to go there by train but later I came to know that many tourist buses available for one day trip to Ajmer & Pushkar. I found it more convenient and hassle free. I woke up early, had heavy breakfast and then took auto from my hotel to reach bus stand. Bus timing was from 9 am and by the time I reach there, bus was almost ready to leave. It was mini bus and there were hardly 7-8 more traveller for Ajmer & Pushkar trip. I thought it would be nice and quiet. But to my surprise bus driver started taking daily commuter on the road and by the time we left Jaipur, bus was fully crowded. The drive there was only three hours from Jaipur and most of it on express highways. The journey therefore was not full of many sights, so spent most of time reading newspaper and listening songs. Reached Ajmer at around 12:30 pm and but instead of visiting Ajmer Sarif first, bus headed towards Pushkar, holy town in the desert in Rajasthan.

The Kumbh is held in four cities,once in every 12 years in each city . It was often, 'chaye pe charcha' in our abode about Kumbh fair. Nowdays i was frequently on trips and tours. One more added in my trip dairy, 'Mahakaal ki Nagri.' "Ab kahe itna hindi ke pichey pade hain, chodiye naa. "i started my 'Yatra' (journey) along with two person who bought me to this beautiful world. My lovely Mom and as usually, soft hearted and red eyed, my Papa. We boarded the train for Ujjain from ludhiana . After few minutes of boarding, i remembered chetan's 'three mistake...' And i stuck,realised that it was my first mistake to prefer train over four wheel drive . Malwa express only a direct train which arrived in Ujjain. The Train was galloped and stoped on every fixed stoppage,mean while masses(passenger is word who travel with their desire tickets but here they Inroad in ac cabin while having journal tickets)were trying to get on the coaches like cattles in every coming station . And the most of passengers were pilgrims. It was long joureny, about 23 hours. We hardly slept due to co-passenger who kept coach busy by weep-bitterly,Scream-squeal,and here i experienced live for the word 'lol'(loughing out loud).. (Sick). The credit went for crying and screaming to all devil kid. Who the hell, wrote," kids are innocent".We reached right time at Ujjain. It was 11:30 am. We grappled to get off the coach. I didn't want to share this part of the joureny, nonetheless i shared for those who plan in future via train, hope they think twice,before. Moreover it happened when you traveled a city where you never ever before.

DAY 01 - GARH PALACE, TARAGARH FORT, STEPWELLS, NAWAL SAGAR=> Start the day early with a heavy breakfast as you would be going to explore two most elaborate and historically important landmarks of the Bundi town.=> First, visit Garh Palace or Bundi Palace, which should not take more than 1.5hrs. Bundi Palace is famous for its lavishly drawn frescos and murals on the walls. The best part of the palace is the Chitrashala or the Umeed Mahal which has magnificent frescos drawn over the walls, from floor to ceiling. This is a UNESCO world heritage part of the palace and is unparalleled to anything else in Rajasthan.

I had no expected to see waterfalls in Bundi, but I saw one. Ramgarh is 50 kilometers away from Bundi and the manager of my guest house was nice enough to help me reach that place. His friend took me to the Ramgarh waterfall. The cascade is a gorgeous mighty sight to behold, as it rains the water level on the top of the mountain increases and the volume of the waterfall increases. This waterfall is known to be an adventure spot as it makes a perfect plunge pool. If you know swimming, you can jump from the top and dive straight in the water. I saw a couple of foreigners making the jump, I decided to enjoy the view from a corner. Although you cannot do it in your swimming costumes, the locals are not that open minded. :P
