One beach you need to visit on your next trip to Maui is Pailoa Bay, a black sand beach on the famed Road to Hana. With its bright blue water and contrasting black pebbled sand, you could easily spend all day relaxing under the Hawaiian sun. Plus, there are sea caves and lava tubes to explore nearby! Saying this beach is ridiculously remarkable is an understatement! 4) Jessica from A Passion and A Passport: Pailoa Bay, Hawaii, USA

Day 1: Bandaranaike International Airport is the only International airport of Srilanka, situated approximately 30 kms (kilometers) north of Colombo city. The fastest and easiest way of getting to Colombo from airport is via express way and there are regular buses operating between airport and the city during day time. Since you arrive at Colombo, you can spend the day (or half) exploring the city. You can possibly visit Seema Malakaya temple, Gangaramaya Temple and Viharamahadevi Park in central Colombo during the daylight hours. At the evening you can go gaze at the sunset over Galle Face Green which becomes vibrant with the local crowd after sundown. Also try some of the local delicacies in one of the many street food stalls lined up there. Later to chill out with some beer and music, there is this nice cozy bar, Taproom by RnR located in old dutch hospital complex.Try to stay in central Colombo as all these places are situated around there and can be covered by 10-15 mins walk from Galle Face Green. There are quite a few budget accommodations in central Colombo. We stayed in Back Pack Lanka which offers nice and comfortable dorm stay and is located at about 15 mins walking distance from Galle Face Green.

Colombo to sigiriyaWe took train at 5 am in early morning to go to sigiriya rock. From train we step down at one of the station. From there we exchanged 2 buses to reach sigiriya village. I recommend to travel by bus as public transport is very cheap, very clean, helpful people. Even you have lots of luggage you can take buses as it is not very much crowded. So we reached sigiriya village around lunch time. From then we started to look for accommodation. We got it for 2000 slr for 3 people. In evening we started trekking on lions stone. Entry fees for indians is $15 each. Its very nice place to trek. It took around 1 hr to reach to top. You find many foreigners on the way. When you reach to top you can have 360' view. Its only heightened places there.
