Bargi Dam Reviews

On the second day we drove from Jabalpur to Bargi dam, some 35 kms away from the city. The road trip itself was a pleasant experience. Bargi dam is also on Narmada river. We reached the view point within an hour. Bargi dam has the most scenic views around Jabalpur. It is a perfect picnic spot. From the view point we drove further ahead. After a point vehicles are not allowed. You can have a pleasant walk along the dam from there. Surrounded by hilly ranges Bargi offers breathtaking panoramas. For nature lovers going from Jabalpur to Bargi dam is a must visit.
Day 2 We started with Bargi Dam, the cruise takes you around the reservoir. Till your eye goes its blue, the sky and water meeting with a fine line. The Dam has an island in middle which is habituated by birds of different species. We also visited the Hydel Power Plant build on Bargi Dam. The Plant can only be visited with special permission. Family friends got the lunch packed, we found a temple with open space, put on the mat and ready for the lunch picnic.
