TajMahal is a fine white museum made of marbles on the bank of Yamuna River. It was built by the Mughal emperor Shahajan to commemorate his wife Mumtaz. The construction was started in the year 1631. It is considered as the UNESCO World heritage Site and is known as the jewel of Muslim art in India. It is known as the best symbol of Mughal architecture. It comprises of Mughal and Persian architecture. Shahajan was inspired by the Timurid architecture. It is a white marble structure that is constructed on a square plinth and it is a symmetrical building that comprise of diwan. It comprises of a large doom at the top that appears like a finial. It is a large-chambered cube that comprises of huge pishtaq. It is constructed in the form of archway that contains two sharp shaped balconies. The building also contains four minarates that form the tomb.

A vaulted dome is constructed over the tomb and the tombs of MumtazMahal and ShahaJahan is constructed at the lower level. The building contains marble domes and also the decorative spires and it is extended from the base of the walls.

It is considered as one of the iconic monuments and people can visit this site for 12 hours. It is considered as the 7 New Wonders of the world and is an UNESCO site.

It was explored in the 16th century and built after the death of Mumtaz. It is the crown of places that rises from the dust-beaten earth. The total area occupied is 42 acres and it is constructed from the white marble that is obtained from Makarana of Rajasthan. They began this constructed in the year 1631 and was completed in the year 1648. The shape of the building is rectangular and the visitor enters through the site through the massive gateway. It contains of an arch on both the sides. It comprises of splendid artistic work and the water channels that are constructed from the fountains just add beauty to the site.

The building can be accessed through three gates. It contains east and the west gates. The travellers travel through the southern gates. The minerates of the building are 40 meters and they contain the designer’s penchant. The minerates is known as the traditional element of mosque and they are constructed in muezzin style.
