Once on my audit at Aurangabad, Maharastra, the audit was 3 days but I completed the audit of the first half of the 3rd day, came back to my hotel and booked a car to visit Ghirilingeshwar temple and Ajanta Rock cut caves.

The drive was half an hour from the hotel, I finished my dharsan at Ghirilingeshwar temple and then visited the Ajanta Rock cut caves.

The Ajanta Rock cut caves is 5 kilometres before the temple when we travel from Aurangabad.

There are 30 odd rock cut caves where the Buddhist monks stayed. These caves are dated back to 2nd century BC.

The below link of the Kailas temple which is a surprising rock cut Temple. The most surprising is that this temple is rock cut from the top to the base, tons & tons of rock is removed from the hill to cut this temple.

This was a pleasant trip on the way back to Aurangabad found a fort on the right side of the highway but could not visit because I was late and it was dark in the evening.

Also missed Bibi Ka Makbara and Aurangzeb's tomb.
