Doda Alada Mara means a big Banyan tree. This is a 400year old banyan tree located in the village of Kethohalli/Ramohalli at a distance of 28 km from Bangalore. It is located on the Bangalore-Mysore road and is easy to reach. There are direct buses from K. R. Market to this place. Many people visiting this place on a bicycle also.

This is the 4th biggest Banyan tree in the world. The single tree has covered 3 acres of land. The highest branch of the tree is 95feets. The main root of the tree succumbed to the natural disease in 2000. It's nice to enjoy and relax with family. This place is apt for a picnic close from Bengaluru. The roots of the banyan tree hanging all around the park and it appears as you are strolling around a hundred trees. The branching prop roots give you a cool shady environment. There is a number of seating area for people to rest. More than adults kids would love this place for a picnic. A huge park for them to run around with fewer people around. The tree is the natural home of a large number of monkeys, so tourists are careful with food, water. The atmosphere will be filled with chirping birds.
