Overview

Bhutan, a Buddhist kingdom on the eastern edge of Himalayas is known for its monasteries, fortress (or dzongs) and dramatic landscapes that range from subtropical plains to steep mountains and valleys. It is a tiny Himalayan kingdom situated in the eastern Himalayas and landlocked between the worlds two most populous nations - with china to the north and India to the south. Itinerary
  • On arrival at Paro airport, meet our representative who will be waiting outside for a traditional welcome
  • Enjoy a drive to Thimphu, the capital town of Bhutan
  • The road runs down through the Paro Valley to Chuzom (confluence) at the entrance to the valley, where the Paro and Thimphu rivers meet
  • The road passes along a narrow valley with high, rocky cliffs on the left and then the valley opens out into farmland on the approach to Thimphu
  • Simtokha Dzong, “the place of profound tantric teaching”, stands sentinel on a hillock a few kilometres out of town
  • Overnight stay in Thimphu
  • After breakfast, you will start your day with a visit to:
  • National Memorial Chorten, Buddha Point, Painting school and Folk Heritage Museum
  • After having lunch, we will visit:
  • National Textile Museum and Tashichodzong
  • The evening is free for shopping and other leisurely activities
  • Overnight stay in Thimphu
  • After breakfast, drive to Punakha with a stop at Dochula Pass (approx. 3080m)
  • Here, we can view and admire the Chorten, Mani wall and prayer flags which decorates the highest point on the road
  • In Punakha, you will visit the Punakha Dzong
  • It is situated near two rivers-the Pho Chu (Male River) and Mo Chu (Female River.) Asia has a rich tradition of river personification
  • We will have lunch on the way
  • Afterwards, we will visit Chimi Lhakhang which is a short hike
  • Chimi Lakhang Temples lies in the fertile Lobesa village of Punakha Valley
  • The temple is dedicated to the divine madman-Saint Drukpa Kuenley and the temple is also known as the Temple of Fertility
  • Later, check-in to the hotel for an overnight stay in Punakha
  • Early morning, drive to Paro
  • On arrival, we will visit Kyichu Lhakhang (open till 5 pm)
  • Explore Drukgyel Dzong
  • Lunch will be at the hotel
  • After lunch, visit the National Museum
  • Overnight stay in Paro
  • Today after a leisurely breakfast, we will proceed for an excursion to the famous place called Taktshang Monastery (5hrs hike)
  • Taktshang Monastery (Tiger Nest) is located at top of about 800-meter cliff in Paro
  • It takes slightly more than two hours to reach the monastery on foot from the nearest road point
  • Taktshang or the Tigers lair as the monastery is widely regarded is one of the most important in Bhutan
  • Overnight stay in Paro
  • Like all good things, your Bhutan western cultural tours will come to an end
  • We will be happy to see you again
  • Our representative will help you with your exit formalities and then bid you farewell

  • Any increase in airlines taxes or fuel price at the time of departure, leading to increase in cost on surface transportation & land arrangements, which may come into effect prior to departure

Balance payment: 40 days prior to travel

18% GST will be charged on cancellation.

If cancelled 30 days prior to the date of travel: booking amount

If cancelled between 29 to 21 days prior to the date of travel: 50% of the tour cost

If cancelled between 20 to 15 days prior to the date of travel: 75% of the tour cost

If cancelled between 14 - 00 days prior to the date of travel: 100% of the tour cost
