Well if you really want to save money...den reach any place from where the hilly area start in Uttarakhand such as Dehradun, Kotdwar, Ramnagar and Haldwani...300-400 will be enough to reach such places from Delhi via Roadways buses including food......afterwards, u can begin your journey by asking for lifts from two-wheelers riders...i did dat while reaching from point A to point Z by hoping on several bikes, scooty or mail vans...u can save money and get a chance to interact with a wide variety of people...u can literally travel anywhere in hilly areas without spending a penny on transportation ...
