Munnar in kerela and kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu are one of the best places to visit.

Kanha National Park in Madhya Pradesh would be ideal. You'll be surrounded by the lush green forest and of course plan for the safari as the jungle is full of wide variety of animals including the Royal Bengal Tiger and tonnes of species of birds.
