Hi Nishant, the most popular route is Delhi-Chandigarh-Manali-Leh. The road passes through Rohtang Pass, Keylong, Jispa and Sarchu. You can spend the first night in Manali, second in Jispa and reach Leh on the third day. The other slightly longer route is Delhi-Chandigarh-Jammu-Srinagar-Leh. On this route you can spend the first night Jammu followed by a night in Kargil before reaching Leh on the third day. Go via Jammu, srinagar, Sonmarg, Kargil, Drass and then leh and try to come back via manai route ..

From Delhi it is not a good option. You go by bus to Manali and hire a bike/bullet from there only.
