Hi Aakanksha! Since I travelled mostly on long weekend, places near Delhi were quite convenient. As for places like Sikkim, its all about finding the cheapest flights and the best time.

Download maps of that area. Check cheapest travel options. Ask friends for advice(who have been there). Carry emergency accessories and cash. Hope this was helpful
