You can prefer staying to Bhuj and cover places like Kado dungar, White rann from there . however for traditional and cultural feel you can prefer tent accommodation. The common misconception amongst people is that there is no alternate option that Tent city under the Tag khushbu Gujarat ki thanks to amazing PR. However there are other options available to stay in tents/traditional cottages within budget. I had been to kutch this 2nd of November and hence can answer all your questions .
