Hey Williams, If your query is regarding how to prepare for base camp wrt money, then it would cost you around 25INR ex Kathmandu ... including your flights to and fro to lukla from kathmandu ....and if you go through an agency then there are many thode can help you reach base camp with variety of charges ... you can check them on Google .. But if your query is regarding your preparation wrt physicality then you need to train your body by running and swimming and a bit of weight training too ... if you are a healthy person then you would need a 2 months of good training to keep you ready for mountains ... And again it's easier said than done ... a good day and a good climate can make you reach base camp without any issues ... keep two days extra for all delays it might happen on your trek ... Stay happy ... stay calm and if you are going solo ..m don't worry ... it's the best marked trail and you can make it all solo to base camp easily ... Happy Trekking and Happy Travelling!!!

Everest Base Camp trek is comparatively a moderate level trek with demands certain level of Fitness. Since EBC has become very famous, the place has become much like a tourist region rather than a remote Himalayan Trek. It has a well established trail, and you will find homestay on your way through out your trek. So food and accommodation is of no issues. If you are confident enough, you can do a solo trek EBC without any aid of agency, since you will all amenities on your trek. Else you can use service agencies such as Trek The Himalayas or India Hikes who regularly organizes such treks.

The best months to trek to Everest base camp are pre-monsoon (February, March, April and May) and post monsoon (late September, October, November and December) Prices range per person from USD$1,400 up to $1,700 for an average 12 - 15 day trek. Prices should include: permits, round trip flights from Kathmandu to Lukla, accommodation, meals For physical preparation , start with a sensible distance that you're fairly comfortable with and work up from there. Before this trek try to do at least three long distance day hikes – 5-6 hours minimum. If you can do this without too much fuss then you'll be in great stead for your Everest trek.

I think that you should have serious preparation in general for such a thing. Also, study a lot of materials, tips and routes, nuances. For example, the article https://www.glorioushimalaya.com/trekking-and-hiking/everest-base-camp-trek is a good source. You can even watch several YouTube videos or documentaries about this
