They provide bus services, ask the locals they are great helpers. And I remember it took us I think four hours to reach there.

Local buses ply freqently..u can also check out private cab operators....a few also usualy stand out side the local bus staions..Coimbatore /Mettupalayam are the major towns...Mettupalayam is closer to ooty.

Hi, We traveled to Coonoor first and then traveled in toy train to Ooty while our car driver drove all the way from the Coonoor station to Ooty station.
