Hey, make sure you carry enough warm clothes and wind cheaters. make sure you have waterproof shoes on and warm socks to keep yourself warm. If it is a remote area, pleasure ensure to have power backup for your cellphones. The weather in Uttarkhand, in general is very unpredictable, so you might want to be ready for all conditions. Also, since the major pilgrimage is shut down in winter months, you might want to start your trip from haridwar/ rishikesh and explore the hills of mussoorie,nag tibba trek, kanatal (for adventure sports) and tehri (for water sports)
Auli will be a perfect destination to visit in november. Check that out. You might as well try the Chandrashila trek, although the tungnath temple will be closed, but it's a beautiful, beautiful trek, specially when snowcapped. Other than that, Nainital, landsdowne, ranikhet and Jim corbett would be a good choice too.

UpvoteCommentHi Doctor, Uttarakhand is really a nice place to visit if your are looking for a scenic holiday. I recently visited the place with my Husband, We visited many different places like- nainitaal, bhimtal, almora, bageshwar and pithoragarh. It was a 2 weeks plan to explore all of the kumaon. Being a Gastroenterologist, I think you will be very educated enough to know what all would be the do's and dont's on hill stations. I just want to tell you that keep your warm clothes with you.
