Hey, Chennai has a lot of nice beaches. Marina, Elliot's beach and Juhu beach in ECR are my favourites. Elliots beach has a lot of cafes and restaurants near by so you can easily spend an evening there. If you have a lot of time in hand you can also visit the St.Thomas mount hill, it has an amazing church and also the hill offers a view of almost the entire city. You can also sit and enjoy the sunset from here. Hope this helps! :)
