Travel in group and try to stay in homestays... cook food yoyrself... travel through public transport... and with around 5 6k you can visit anywhere in himachal uttrakhand in car too ....

Learn to adjust with fewer facilities, cook for yourself, travel in groups, use public transport, maybe work for a couple of days like part time and save. Of course there are low budget travelling packages you might want to consider
