Me and my friends are travelling to Chandrakhani Pass this 12-14 August. Is it possible to complete the trek without a guide? How much will a guide charge if we travel from Rumse to Chandrakhani to Malana. Is there any group covering the trek on that date

Not really. I did my chandrakhani trek just last month and 3 of the members from group lost the way

It is always advisable to hire a guide from the nearest village as they know the place at the back of their hands.

It's always better to have a guide on treks as they can guide you on the nitty gritty of the place and many times you might need to bargain with them. Best will be to ask around for the market price of a guide.
