Now a days there are video logs for many tourists destination. You can go through YouTube and check people suggesting cheaper options, be it accommodation or traveling ways you will have plenty of options there. Hope it will help little bit.
Budget trip requires a little bit of planning beforehand. firstly, it's a good idea to plan ahead to get discounts in bus/train/ hotel booking. Secondly, traveling during the off season is a great way to avoid price surges and tourist crowd. Also, instead of booking a hotel beforehand I have found it better to first arrive at the location and look around for hotels or cottages. lastly, if trying the local cuisine is not big on the menu then you can always carry a kettle to boil your egg and make a sandwich on the go since food takes up a considerable amount in planning a trip.
Hello Akash, Uttarakhand is a well-commercialised state with fine roads. You can easily travel to Uttarakhand by car, whether personal or on hire. Also, if you are planning to self-drive, make sure you're a very good driver for hilly roads. Choose a car with a powerful engine. Prefer using Diesel ones and any hatch car will make your trip easier. Do not overload the passengers while taking your car to Uttarakhand because of the hilly terrain. Also, the wisest way is to keep yourself out of unknown roads and risk-prone conditions to avoid troubles. Hope you have a safe and happy trip!
Be prepared for under belly bumps n hits and damages, on some sections of roads.Keep it as light as possible.Better if u go with high road clearance vehicle.
Ground Clearance is a must !! Your car’s ground clearance will play the most important part while driving to Ladakh. You will be driving on some of the most challenging roads you have ever encountered. There will be numerous water crossings (some of them quite deep); broken roads, dirt trails, slush, lose gravel, sharp rocks on the roads and you need to be well prepared to drive through all of it. Even then, if your car has low ground clearance, it is bound to hit the ground at several occasions, especially at water crossings. Driving through lose gravel means stones flying and hitting the belly of your car. If you encounter slush like at Rohtang or Zoji La, you will have to think twice about how to take your car across. If you are in a Sedan or a hatchback, you are best avoiding some of the routes like Agham Shyok road and if you do go that way, be prepared for some serious damage to your vehicle. If you are looking to visit some place in Southern India, you can give a shot visiting Ooty and the nearby places. This is if you are planning a 2-3 days trip (apart from your to and fro travel)
Every location is a good location, what matters is the vision. :D
and yes if you are planning to shoot inside the Golden Temple, make sure you have a word with the people once before you start, to prevent future difficulties. being a photographer myself, i suggest you scout the location inside the temple for beautiful angles, especially the ones with reflections. Scouting always helps. happy hunting!
Hi Vijay, to explore these 3 locations you should give at least 2-3 weeks.
I spent around a week just in Bali, still I could not see many prominent places.
Ideally, I would advise you to make one trip to Singapore+Malaysia and other one to Bali.
I have been to Singapore & Malaysia twice and once to Bali. Let me know In case of any query.
Visit in December or January, you can experience snow as well as some snow activities in Manali. Almost everyday boulders fall on roads so no one can't predict that.
Hello, The best time to visit Manali to experience snow is from mid-December to January. You can enjoy snow activities with the onset of January (first-half). However, snow roadblocks is a matter of chance and completely unpredictable, but snow roadblocks in Manali usually happen in January. Due to the same, tourists are suggested to walk past the areas. Avoid going to Manali in the mid and later days of January. Also, keep a current track of weather conditions while planning, before and throughout the transfers during the tour. Help from a native resident is preferrable for better and clearer information.
Have a safe journey!
