Excellent choice these.. if I were in your shoes, is take a local transport service and get down at the highway to these destinations and try hitchhiking from there on. Just don't give up hope for it may take some time before you actually get picked. Chances are that you'll get someone visiting those same places or even if not, you can always request to be dropped at nearest points to both natural beauties of the national parks. Hitchhiking doesn't have to be via cars, in my experience truck drivers are the best people to hitchhike with so I'll strongly recommend a truck based hitchhiking. they may charge you some nominal amount but the experience from front of the truck seat and the view, given the greenery and the jungle on the sides of the road add to the delight and experience of traveling... my best wishes..
It depends of you're are going for trek or site seeing. For best trek go Chopta and do Chandrashila trek else Mussouri, Nainital, Rishikesh, munsiyari, auli you can visit.

Planning to visit Kinnaur in the first week of June? How will be the weather there, what about landslides. And most importantly, is Chitkul commercialised? I want to visit a non touristy plan
You should go for hilly areas as they are colder in these times other places are more hoter and it will be a mess to go in cities that are hotter you shoul prefer the places such as shimla , manali and something like that
You can go to Agumbe in Karnataka, it's known for its amazing rainforest, waterfall and wildlife. Agumbe has the most rains in the South.
If you are a fan of Malgudi days, it's an added bonus because it was shot in Agumbe.
Do try their amazing coffee and enjoy the rains
