Hey Gaurav,
After reaching Kasol cross the bridge and walk for 10-15 minutes toward Chalal village. There you can get a good room with hill view in Rs 500 for two persons. Another option is to stay at camps by the side of the river.

Pre-booking is never an good idea if you want to save money in staying. directly go there. you will get plenty of rooms for travelers. you can bargain for the cost.
Regarding staying in Kasol, you can get cheap rooms in Chalal which is half an hour walk from Kasol because Kasol is crowded. and Chalal is a perfect place to stay if you want a getaway.
