India or abroad anything is fine..abroad I was thinking of Bhutan. Weather should be pleasant.. Need some itinerary in which they wouldn't have to walk too much.
If you are planning for trip within India, as the occasion is their 40th anniversary I would prefer you some romantic gateways such as South Goa, Coorg or God's own country-Kerala.
I would you suggest you himanchal pradesh, mcleodganj or dharmshala, or khajjiar. As it's not so cold out there in October so you can enjoy bone fire night and mountain view. So good luck and Enjoy.
