I am sure Arindam knows MMT. He needs a personal opinion from first hand accounts than a generic answer with recommendations to an app. anyway, there is one I can recommend personally,
Happy valley homestay - this one is near the DM office and pretty much conveniently located with some great trails you can explore hiking. The furnishing and facilities are amazing and very reasonably priced. The terrace also affords a view of the happy valley tea estate after which it is named. The person overseeing Subrat Tamang is a charming man willing to help you with whatever help you need. Also this is centrally located so everything within reach.
