1st come to Teesta Bazar by shared car. Then there from u will get shared vehicle for namchi but frequency is very poor. Rather take shared vehicle upto rongpo or jorthang. From there go to namchi. But overall it will consume almost full day.
UpvoteCommentI will suggest, from Darjeeling, first came to Gangtok. It very easy. Overnight stay at Gangtok. Next day take local tour oprrator's namchi sightseeing.

If you are budget traveler like me and always prefer public transport then here is how you can reach Namchi. Darjeeling to Jorethang: Frequent intervals, Advisable from sunrise to sunset, one and half hour trip, the rough road on hilly terrain, beautiful views of tea gardens, Rs.120 per person. Jeep Stand in Darjeeling: In front of Old Super Market, Approx. one km from Mall Road. Onward travel from Jorethang: Jeep stand in Jorethang is multi-level parking. Shared jeeps to the different places leave from the different level of this parking stand. From Jorethang, shared jeeps are available for Peeling-Yuksom, Namchi, Gangtok etc. Towards Namchi from Jorethang: There are many shared jeeps available to Namchi (Fare, Rs.35) throughout the day. From Namche, you can travel onwards to Temi Tea Garden, Samudraptse, Ravangala, Gangtok etc. Good Luck!!

If you are in Darjeeling, reach Darjeeling taxi stand and you will see sikkim transportation service board. you can take a shared taxi for 150 bucks. Happy travelling.
