Hello Amritsar is a wonderful place to visit in India it's a heaven available to us. I have visited Amritsar 3 times. it's a place to just forget about calories and just eat out it. Time for visiting perfect would be between Oct-march as it's little cold little hot,avoid visiting this in summers. great places to visit in Amritsar are:
Golden temple( harmandir sahib)
please attend the Langer available 24*7. Jallianwala Bagh
(great place just walking distance from here,place where around 379 were killed and around 1000 wounded, story of this terrible bloodbath is expressed in martys gallery at the place.) wagah border
29 km from here beating retreat is must ,around 1000s people gather here for the flags ceremony MOST IMPORTANT FOOD PARADISE PLEASE TRY AMRITSARI KHULCHA BARHWAN DA DHABA

KESAR DA DHABA (OPEN SINCE 1916) JUST HIT THIS PLACE pocket friendly rooms available nearby busses and trains run throughout for heading to Amritsar. AGAIN
