Hey! River rafting might be open but it depends on the weather conditions. They may say rafting but will take you to a small boat ride on small ripples if the condition is bad. Enquire on spot before you book. Hope this helps.

Hey! For adventure seekers and fit tourists, a trek of one-day consisting of thirteen kms, will take you to Alpather Lake from Gulmarg(via Khilanmarg). If you are not that adventurous on foot, then just take the alternative short hike of 1.5km from the Gondola Phase II of Mt. Apharwat. Hope this helps. Happy traveling :)
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
There are many lakes there . you will have to travel on Gondola phase 2 and then start climbing for about half an hour . the after reaching the top of apharvat you will have to descend down to the lakes. they remain frozen almost full year.

You have a wonderful blog, very picturesque and beautiful landscapes. Can you tell me where these photos were taken? If you want to get a little experience in photography, look for free courses on the Internet, or you can get ideas from Pinterest or other sites, I know a lot of photographers who work in your style, such as: Aaron Groen, Angus Clyne, Peter lik for sale, Atif Saeed, Dylan Toh. If you will be interested write me, I will definitely answer.

The road conditions are good. we went by the sleeper bus. We didn't stop much on the bus stops, however it would be safe to pack meals from home.
