Hi Ravindra, Most of the temple areas have extreme budget stays for as low as 300 Rs. It should not be difficult for you to get a room at all, they also dont need any advance booking and these guest houses you cannot reserve either. Go near the temples and you will find plenty of stat for you budget.

RAMESHWARAM- By road from Chennai it's 9 hrs away. There are trains too. Dhanushkodi temple, lakshmana tirtham, gandhamadhana parvatham, ariyaman beach, jada tirtham, bird sanctuary are places to visit. MADURAI- From rameshwaram 3hrs away is madurai. There are daily buses. Meenakshi Amman temple, nayakar mahal, meghamalai, THIRUPARAMKUNDRAM, Gandhi museum, pazhamudircholai, are places to visit. PONDICHERRY- From madurai 5hrs away is pondicherry. You could drive or take a bus. Aurobindo ashram, auroville, promenade beach, botanical garden, manakula Vinayagar, museum are places to visit.
