Both Treks Are moderate level for first timers. I'll Suggest Sar Pass will be the best.

Trichy to ooty has no direct train connection hence you can travel by road by bus or solo car.

Mostly all of them are within the range of 3-4 hours travel.. sea forts are nearer from mumbai whereas forts like lohgad or sinhagad are near from pune

Donot go to Saheliyon ki bari, kanak vrindavan garden.. jal mahal is dirty. also bargain as much as possible in the markets.

Hi, there are multiple options to travel from pune.
1) ask her to go for Malvan if she loves beaches
2) visit bhandardara if she loves camping

I think Hampi will be best to enjoy at grand. Its safe, cheap, blissful and beautiful. VRL bus available to direct hospet. Although you will find Gushaini (and few other places in Himachal Pradesh & Uttarakhand), Darjeeling and Sikkim really pleasant at that time. If It's early May try tiger sighseeing at Ranthambhore or Bandhavgarh.
