Hi Harvinder, in north India your options are Varanasi, Rishikesh and Rajasthan. If you don't mind a bit of cold and some snow then you can visit Manali, Shimla, Kinnaur Valley, Auli, Mussoorie, Kasol or McLeodganj. Northeast India is slight difficult for solo travelling due to public transportation limitations. Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim are your best bets in Northeast India. If you make it to the Hornbill Festival (December first week) of Nagaland then you will have a once-in-a-lifetime experience for sure.
To manage living expenses i would suggest t]you to defer from staying in mainstream places.
To cut down on transport you can always choose to travel by public transport, either bus or train. And to travel locally you can choose shared cabs or auto rickshaws
40K per head is a good enough amount to visit several places.
What's your preference?
Sri Lanka, Thailand, Nepal, Bhutan (surprisingly, if you fly to Bhutan, it will be the most expensive), Dubai are some places you could consider.
Hi Rima, I recommend you to travel to the northernmost part of Goa which is Mandrem, Ashwem , Arambol and Querim. The white sand beaches here are surreal. These beaches are quieter compared to the famous ones in Goa. You are sure to have a super amazing time in this side of Goa. If you are looking for a detail itinerary I can help as I was there last year during the same time in this part of Goa :)
To visit Mechuka, Sumo service is available from Along. From Dibrugarh Airport 450kms via Pasighat, Along. A remote area of the country, almost on the border with China. BSNL network has very weak network, otherwise no connectivity with the world. Carry cash, ATMs may not work. But the place is worth all these, its beautiful and one will experience deep serenity. Hope you enjoy the trip :-)
Also Home stays are available if you do some research, there are some fellow travellers who shared phone numbers of Home Stay owner and also the exact location of those homes.
Triund is one of my favorite trekking destination in Himalayas. The trek from Triund to Snowline is a bit difficult but can be done easily with a lot of patience. You can easily find tents for overnight stay. But, I will suggest you to go with a guide on any Himalayan trek. They will arrange tents and food for you both.
Hey, camps are very easily available at Snowline cafe. The cost is 300 bucks per person. It is completely safe there at Snowline, local people of Snowline cafe will guide you completely. for any further details and queries or itinerary, you can contact me I'll provide you with the same! thankyou.
Yeah..if you start your trek in early morning around 6am from bhagsu(3kms up from mcleadganj) to reach triund you will take around 5-6 hours and stay there for 1-2 hr and get back to bhagsu(time taken- 2-3hours) then take bus/cab to mcleodganj
Yes it is absolutely possible but you have to start your trek early in the morning and it will take less time if the starting point of your trek is from Dharamkot. From Dharamkot it is nearly 8 km hike to Triund and Dharamkot is connected via road to McLeodganj also. You can take auto or taxi from the bus stand, they will charge around Rs. 70 per auto and Rs. 150 per taxi. If you are experienced trekker then you may take 3-4 hours but if you want a leisurely trek then it will take around 5 hours. spend 2-3 hours on the top and come back by sundown. Hope it helped!
Summer to see the gorgeous waterfalls and lush green mountains. You can also go trekking in summer. Winter if you are up for adventures like hiking and trekking, as some of the treks are submerged during summer.

If you want to live in Paradise then it is obvious you should live in Ladakh. Because Ladakh is known as Paradise on Earth.Ladakh adds on for India beauty with its stunning backdrop and makes India Incredible India. The only thing that comes to our mind is WOW. - The best time to visit Ladakh is from May to September. - The various places that you can visit are:- Shanti Stupa : It is a Buddhist white-domed stupa. It is situated on hill top. Its beautiful architecture will memorize us. Hall Of Fame : It is a museum that exhibits war weapons, various weapons etc. This museum built by Indian army. We come to know about various Soldiers who have sacrificed their life for our safety. Its truly pride taking moment. Magnetic hill : I can say it as magical hill. It is a small stretch where it is appears to be uphill but it is downhill. We can also recollect our lessons about law of gravity. Khardung-la Pass : It is the highest motarable road. It trills all the riders. I feel the best way to enjoy Kahrdung-la is in bike. Nubra Valley : It is a tri- armed valley with stunning scenery. I can tell it is a truly breathtaking view. Hundur Monastery : It is also known as Hundur Gompa. It is one of the Buddhist Monastery. It is known for its sand dues and cold deserts which surrounds it. Diskit Monastery : It is the biggest Monastery i have ever seen. It has a gigantic Buddha statue on it. It is the oldest Monastery in Leh- Ladakh. Pangong Lake : This lake is truly amazing. The view of this lake is mind blowing. I bet the picture of this lake will be our laptop and mobile screensaver for many days. One can say it as paradise on earth. It is situated at a height about 4350. - Do's and Dont's Dos Foremost thing is to get adjusted to Ladakh climate. You may experience low Oxygen levels so once you reach Ladakh take rest and spend a leisure day by going around your stay, interacting with the localities.
Localities there are warm and friendly. They have a unique culture and tradition. You can also get dressed like them and take photographs with them.
I would suggest you to carry drinking water and dry foods. And take sips of water every 2 minutes so that you keep yourself hydrated.
Carry a Medical - kit with tablets for vomiting, headache etc and also few first aid stuffs such as bandages cotton.
There is electricity problem in Ladakh so carry spare battries for your phone , cameras. Carry led lights too.
When it comes for clothing make your self light but warm. Instead of wearing thick jackets wear layers of dress. Wear good walking shoes.
Carry sunglasses , sunscreen lotions and get ready to tan yourself.
Always carry Id proofs. Always write your emergency contact number and paste it on back of your cell phone or on your backpacks. Donts Dont throw plastics. Ladakh is plastic free zone.
Avoid alcohol and smoking it may lead to respiratory problem.
Dont disturb the wild life.
Dont mock at their culture and tradition. Instead get along with them and enjoy their culture.
While visiting Monasteries wear decent clothes. Cover yourself completely. When you visit Monasteries take permission before taking pictures with the Monks.
Follow your guide instructions especially while trekking and mountaineering and be in your precautions. I would suggest to stay in groups. Check out the following link https://www.funstay.in/ladakh-tour-packages for Ladakh pacakages
Hey! sounds good. Autumn season is one of the best time to visit Kasol. Apart from Grahan village, you must visit Tosh and Challal. Don't miss out spending leisure time at perfect riverside cafes in Kasol. Have an amazing trip and travel responsibly.
If you take budget hotels and open for local food ,you may have to spend around 50k max.You can travel everywhere in metro(MRT) and use Klook to book all tickets.(universal studio, cloud forest etc).
Accommodation - This is one of the most expensive thing in Singapore. So excluding that and flights, the remaining things are food - travel - entry tickets. Food - There are plenty of Indian restaurants in the heart of the city with descent prices. Every tourist attraction has a restaurant, however food is expensive. Carry snacks and a water bottle before venturing out for the day. Tourist attractions - There are a lot of places to cover - Botanical Gardens, Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay Sands, Sentosa, Singapore Flyer, City Tour, Zoo, Night safari, Bird Park, Underwater world etc. Instead of buying individual tickets, go for a comprehensive ticket covering most attractions to get best discounts. You can even book those tickets online as they come with 15-25% discounts. That way it should be within 20000 INR/person (40k for two people)
