Who would want to visit a spiritual place on their first trip after board examination !?
Well, I had to go! I had no other alternative :)
We had long made plans to meet my aunt and uncle, so we flew to Ahmedabad in December 2019, hired a cab and led the way towards Dwarka! and it is often said what we assume is not always credible. I affirm it!
Dwarka, the temple, the seashore, the heartfelt humanity of the citizens made me feel a part of them! The serenity and peace I felt there is found nowhere on earth 💫
History unfolds :
The Dwarkadhish temple, also known as the Jagat Mandir and occasionally spelt Dwarakadheesh, is a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Krishna, who is worshipped here by the name Dwarkadhish, or 'King of Dwarka'.
Some important tips :
1. The temple remains open for darshan from 6:30 AM - 1:00 PM and again from 5:00 PM - 9:30 PM
2. No entire fee.
3. The visitors are not allowed to carry mobiles/cameras inside the temple.
4. November to February is the best time to visit.
5. You get a lot of food stalls to munch on outside the Temple
thank you for reading my travel story!
and I hope lord Krishna allows me to explore Dwarka furthermore :)
Happy Travelling! Hare Krishna!
