Gulmarg...Noor-E-Kashmir!!!

Just been back from kashmir and can't stop missing it already. For all those of you who plan to do the same but still aren't sure, these pics might help you to decide (and trust me...it was totally safe)

•If you are short of time or on a limited budget...just head straight to Gulmarg for a two or three night trip and you won't be disappointed.

•The flights these days are coming out to be around 6 k return. If you plan it well..it won't cost you a bomb.

•We had a 7 day trip and it came out to b just around 22 k inclusive of the flights...that too when all the bookings were made last minute.

•As far as the covid test is concerned, you don't need to get that done in advance, it's being done at the srinagar airport free of cost(though it looked more of a formality and we still haven't gotten our reports yet🤣🤣)

•Carry truckloads of woolens and thermals. If possible, carry your snow boots as well coz the ones you get there on rent are pretty weird and make you slip on the snow rather than help you walk safely.

•If you still want to take snow boots and jackets from there, you will get them easily from tanmarg, a few kms before Gulmarg.

•Make sure that all your hotels have central heating and electric blankets

•Do not forget to try their local cuisine like yakhni, rista, goshtaba, noon chai etc from places like ahdoos and Bakshi restaurant.( These two were my fav among all the places I went to).

•If you are planning to stay in sringar, do try their local dish harissa( non veg).

•Our only mobile network that worked all across kashmir during our stay was jio postpaid. Apparently prepaid sim does not work there.

•Apart from the obvious ....kesar, please do not at any cost miss buying a box of walnut fudge from moonlight bakery in kashmir for all the ppl you love back home.

✓Day 1 rchd srinagar airport...headed straight to Gulmarg

✓Day 2 gulmarg gondola ride nd stay at hotel pine palace platinum

√ Day 3 Gulmarg to sringar. Stay at hotel victory ( not recommended)

√ Day 4 srinagar local siteseeing and stay at houseboats

✓Day 5 day trip to sonmarg

✓Day 6 srinagar to pehalgam. Stay at wildflower resort

✓ Day 7 pehalgam to airport..local siteseeing on d way

Go travel and explore kashmir without any fear or inhibitions...
